The Department of Sociology was established in the year 1983. The Department offers a wide spectrum of specialised and common core courses at Under Graduate and Post Graduate level Programmes. In keeping with the spirit of the ‘Vision & Mission’ of the University, the department has organized its academic programmes to meet the requirements of the diverse sections of the society.
